The Namib Desert

We spent the last 3 nights at a desert camp in Namibia. The best parts were definately the night-time desert game drives and of course relaxing at the pool in the middle of the desert! We also saw cobras and scorpions so that made it a bit more interesting as well! Climbing the world's tallest sand dune was also an amazing experience (600m) but I think tumbling all the way down was even better (except for the sand in every possible body cavity on the 4 hour bus ride back)!

Orange River

We canoed down the Orange River and managed without tipping over (thought it was pretty close a few times)! Then we slept on the sand banks under millions of stars and learnt how to read the constellations.

Cape Town is awesome

We landed in beautiful cape town and right away met up with an old friend who showed us around a bit! Today we hiked up table mountain, stood at the most southwestern point of the african continent (cape of good hope) and saw baboons, ostriches and penguins! So its been a pretty good day :)

Cairo

Our trip started in Cairo with obligatory sites such as the Giza pyramids and the Egyptian museum.
